What is a Ghost Pattern

This explainer video will walk you through what a Ghost Pattern is in the context of stock trading. Over the past several decades there have been a handful of instances where Wall St. firms identified anomalies in the data and have capitalized on them. D.E. Shaw may be considered one of the first to openly write about the Ghost Pattern they discovered in the early 1980’s. Renaissance Technologies and Two Sigma are other examples.
